Julianna had a wonderful first Christmas. We got to celebrate before Christmas with Papa Ken, Roses, Unky B and Unky M. We had a big Christmas dinner at our house on the 22nd and I successfully made another yummy big dinner for the family (pancetta wrapped stuffed pork roast, gorganzola stuffed mushrooms, three cheese risotto and sauteed green beans). I get so nervous making big meals for our families since I have such amazing cooks for a mom and mother in law but so far so good :) Julianna enjoyed opening gifts with my side of the family and some how slept through our loud and crazy night catching up with the bros.

We had to wake up at 4am on Christmas Eve to catch our flight to Detroit. Julianna was such a trooper and had a great flight. We were greeted in Detroit with a tiny bit of snow left from a previous snow fall while it was a blizzard in Texas. We took Julianna out to touch the snow and she didn't quite know what to think of it. We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner at Papa Paul's house with ALL the family. It's so much fun to be around everyone, especially watching all the little ones play and put on "performances" for the family. Soon Julianna will be up there with them. Julianna also got to see Santa for the first time. She wasn't quite sure the first time we put her on his lap, I don't think I would be either with 20 people calling my name trying to get me to look at the camera :) After all the kiddos got their gifts, we tried again and got a better picture. Julianna had been up since 4 am and was up until midnight with only short naps that day and she was so good. We couldn't go to bed until Gramma Jo read Twas the Night Before Christmas.
We woke up Christmas day and helped Julianna open gifts. She loved the ribbon and paper more than the gifts :) Christmas dinner was at Papa Do's house and it was oh so yummy! We enjoyed spending time with Nonna, Cindy, Chris, Steven, Anthony and Linda. It was really special hanging out with Uncle Joey, Aunt Katherine, and Hannah, we can't wait for Baby Y to arrive this summer. And of course we spent way to much time eating! The diet will begin Jan 1!!! Our flight was canceled on Sunday so we got to stay an extra day and even got a date night out of it, thanks Gramma Jo!
We are back in Texas and celebrating Julianna being 6 months old and New Years Eve at home. I'll update you with her new 6 month stats next week when we go to her check up.

Happy New Year to all! We love you!
