Snow in March
I'm pretty sure Dallas has gotten record snow fall this winter. It was 70 degrees on Friday and snowing Saturday night. We are supposed to be back in the 70's by Tuesday. Texas just can't make up its mind! Aldo says all the snow is to get Julianna ready for trips to Michigan. Aldo was finally home to build us a snowman this time. He claimed to have only build 2-3 in his lifetime to try to get out of it, but I didn't believe him and told him to get out there and try ;) I think Julianna was one of the only 2009 Texas baby that didn't have a picture with a snowman. His Michigan snowman techniques wouldn't work because the snow wouldn't stick together but he managed to get one put together pretty quick.
Julianna is almost 9 months old and doing great!! Her new favorite thing is blowing raspberries. She thinks its so funny. She still isn't crawling but rolls around to get to whatever she needs. She tries so hard to crawl but can't get her knees under her correctly. As, I'm typing this she seems to have mastered getting herself to sitting up on her own. She has also learned to clap and wave. She is enjoying lots of new foods including spaghetti!! Our daughter is definitely Italian, she ate spaghetti and minestrone this week and loved it. She also loves taking a bath. She likes to rock back and forth while sitting up to see how big of waves she can make. She thinks it's so funny and cracks up at herself while I sit there with my hand on her back so nervous that she is going to fall over in the water :) We can't wait for it to get warm enough to go swimming. I think I may have a little fish on my hands.
Eating spaghetti for the first time :)

Viva La Mexico
We had such a wonderful trip to Mexico! We had left Julianna for short periods of time before but never overnight. It was harder than I thought. The first day was really hard on me but I knew my mom and Ken would love on her and take good care of her. After the first day it was much better! We missed her but enjoyed our time together.
We stayed at the El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya, it was beautiful! Our room was ocean front and in the middle of this huge resort so we were close to the best pools and restaurants. It was a little chilly in a swimsuit when it was cloudy but great when the sun was shining. I don't know if we would go back in March but in the summer it would be a perfect resort.

Funny parents...
Do you think Julianna will still think we are this hilarious when she's a teenager?
Mommy cracking me up ( I was hiding so I didn't realize the camera went off of her at the best part)

7 Months
We dressed Julianna up in her camo to take pictures for Ken's birthday. She is ready to hunt :)

All dressed up for Valentines day with mommy and daddy

Krislynn and Lauren were so sweet to keep her entertained while I caught up with the family at Jacob's wedding

Playing in the snow

So excited to be able to sit up and play with all her toys

Julianna is not 7 1/2 months old and growing like a weed! She isn't crawling yet but is scooting backwards. She gets really frustrated because she will be trying to get a toy in front of her and she finds herself scooting further and further away from it. I think its funny but she doesn't :) I have sworn she was teething for the last few months but still not teeth. She loves gnawing on frozen broccoli and green beans and enjoys about anything that I can bend up in the blender for her. Her favorite food right now is probably bananas, sorry Gramma Jo :)
In the last month we have traveled to my mom and Kens, traveled to Houston for my cousin Jacob's wedding, played in the biggest snowfall that North Texas has ever seen (12 1/2 inches) and celebrated Julianna's first Valentines Day. She got to meet Laurie, Charlies and the boxer Max when we stayed with them in Houston. Aldo and I have been working really hard to get "beach ready" for our Mexico trip in a couple weeks. We have both lost almost 20 lbs!! Plenty more to go but a good start! We are looking forward to Gramma Jo coming to see us in a couple weeks then Roses coming soon after.
