Julianna's Birthday

Julianna is here!!! We started the induction at 7 am this morning and she decided to join us at 3:13 pm. Everything went very smoothly and I found that the epidural was a gift from God :) I thought I would see how long I could suffer through them then found out that I was crazy once it kicked it. WOW those are good drugs! I didn't feel anything else until I was 10 cm. I pushed for about an hour then we met our sweet little girl.

She was 6lbs 10 oz and 18 and a half inches. She has been feeding well and is sleeping like a baby right now. All three of us are doing great! I'm going to try to get some rest!

It's time to meet Julianna

Well it looks like tomorrow will be the day we meet our little angel Julianna. I went in today to have my blood pressure checked and it was still a little too high. In my doctors words, “there are more advantages to induce now then to sit around and wait for worse to happen”. Since tomorrow is only 12 days before my due date he is very confident that she is ready to go.

We will go to the hospital tonight to get the process started and he thinks we should have our daughter by tomorrow afternoon or evening. Please pray that my body will take to the induction medicine and I won’t have to have a C-Section. It sounds like we have a long night and day ahead of us.

Thank you for all your love and prayers! We need them now more than ever! We will keep you posted and send our pictures as soon as we can.

Today was an eventful doctor’s appointment…

I went in for my normal appointment and my blood pressure was a little too high. He continued my normal appointment to find that I had not started to dilate yet but do to my blood pressure he wanted me to go be checked out by labor and delivery. They hooked me up to monitors, charted my blood pressure for several hours, and did some blood work. My resting blood pressure is perfect but if I even sit up my blood pressure shoots back up. After my tests came back fine, they sent me home for total bed rest.
I will go in to have my blood pressure checked Monday morning and will be told then if we are going to begin the induction process Monday night or wait until the next Monday or Tuesday. My doctor would like to wait until the 6th but we were told that Monday is more likely. So it looks like Julianna is going to be here a little sooner than we thought. We will know much more on Monday. Until then, I’ll be in bed with my sweet hubby taking care of me. Thank you all for your love and prayers! I will keep you updated on any new news!

Today's doctors appointment

Well today is 36 weeks 6 days and we had our last ultrasound at our doctor’s appointment today. Julianna is looking good. They estimated that she weighs around six and half pounds and is laying head down and ready to go. Dr. MacDonald told us that her head was really low which could be why my tailbone has been in so much pain the last week. We got to watch her hiccup and practice her breathing. Her intestines are still looking good and will be checked on once again by her pediatrician once she gets here but my OB doesn’t see any more red flags.

The million dollar question, when will Julianna grace us with her presence? Probably not any time soon, no dilation at this point. We will check again next Friday. Until then, have a wonderful weekend!

Welcome to our blog site where we will post updates, pictures, and videos of our little Julianna. We are so excited for her to get here and can't wait to meet her. We have a doctors appointment this Friday, June 19th to see how much she has grown and to see if any progress is being made. I will update the blog after the appointment!
